CHAI Disability Services

Promoting Community, Housing, Access, and Independence for People of all Abilities

JF&CS CHAI Services provide support, strategies, and solutions that strengthen individuals and families, build community connections, and enhance independence. We offer special expertise in addressing the needs of children and adults with developmental disabilities, mental illness, and autism spectrum disorder, while providing services that are inclusive of people with a wide range of strengths and needs.

Information, Referral, and Phone Consultation
The Disability Resource Network (DRN) offers free information and referral services for people with disabilities, families, and advocates.

Adult Family Care

Adult Family Care (AFC) is a MassHealth program that provides financial assistance and support to caregivers, including family members of adults with disabilities.

Autism Services
Serving individuals with autism throughout their lifespan.

Clinical Case Management

Partnering with individuals with autism spectrum disorder or mental illness to identify and pursue goals that will lead to a more meaningful and purposeful life.

Day Programming and Employment Services
CHAI Works Day Program, Pathways to Employment, and Employment Services offer employment, volunteer, and enrichment opportunities for adults with developmental disabilities.

Disability Lifespan Solutions
Disability Lifespan Solutions (DLS) provides hands-on assistance and advocacy to help individuals and families meet changing needs throughout the life cycle.

Family Advocacy

From special education advocacy to “turning 22” transition planning to long-term planning, family advocates help families navigate services and benefits throughout their loved one’s life.

Jewish Life
Social groups for adults with mental illness and developmental disabilities that provide a connection to Jewish life and learning.

Residential and Supported Living Programs
A range of options for adults with disabilities who want to live, work, and socialize in the community as independently as possible.

Respite and Recreation for Children & Families
Through recreation programs for the child with special needs, family workshops, and community activities, we support quality of life and help families prepare for the future with their loved one with disabilities.
